Its a breaking news for 2009, you can now unlock your Iphone 3G with the YellowSn0w application. Its really a big relief to those Iphone 3G owners if they want to change their sim cards. But how about the telcos?

How To Unlock Iphone 3G?

In this process, you will need the “YellowSn0w” application that works for with the latest iPhone 3G modem firmware (02.28.00) so if your iPhone is not yet on 2.2, if not you will need to upgrade it first. Then follow these steps no how to unlock your Iphone 3G.

Before beginning the iPhone 3G unlocking process, you would need to install the 2.2 firmware.
Now you would need to jailbreak your iPhone by downloading quickpwn
Connect your iPhone 3G to quickpwn in order to modify.
Install Yellowsn0w released by the iPhone Dev Team by either choosing Cydia or Installer.

Now run yellowsn0w.
Now you are very close to unlocking your iPhone 3G with a SIM of your choice. So switch off the phone and insert the SIM.
Now your iPhone 3G is unlocked after switching it on and ready to use the Sim you selected.
